Advocacy for Dogs

OUR MISSIONS

Advocacy and Intervention

Dog advocacy plays a crucial role in protecting and promoting the rights and well-being of dogs. Through raising awareness, fighting against animal cruelty, promoting responsible ownership, and challenging breed discrimination, dog advocates are making a significant differences in the lives of dogs and creating a more compassionate and responsible society for them.

Spay/Neuter

Every year, almost a million dogs of all ages and breeds are euthanized or suffer as strays. These high numbers are the result of unplanned litters that could have been prevented by spaying and neutering. Spay and neuter is one of the important areas the the Tucson Action Team focuses on. Not only does this control the pet population, it improves the behavior and the health of the dog.

Education

Dog education is imperative for our community's well-being and safety. A community that values dog education fosters a more inclusive environment for all residents, including those who may be fearful or have allergies. It also encourages a culture of respect for animals, which extends to wildlife and other pets. Overall, dog education enhances the quality of life for both dogs and humans, creating a more harmonious and considerate community for everyone.
